In this video, Dr. Berg talks about uric acid kidney stones and the ketogenic diet. In the ketogenic diet the environment of the body slightly become more acidic and that is usually where the uric crystals come out as solution and form. Ketogenic Diet can make you lose sodium and anytime the sodium goes lower, the uric acid can spike. He also talks about how the low sodium diets promote uric acid.
Several reasons why the uric acid could increase:
1. High Protein Diet
2. Fructose
3. Diabetes - High Sugar or High Carbohydrate Diet and this is the reason why a lot of diabetics has a high uric acid.
4. Acid
