In this video, Dr. Berg talks about an artificial sweetener called Splenda(sucralose). It is one of the most popular but it is chlorinated sugar which means they added chlorine and also maltodextrin which has a very high glycemic index that could greatly spike the blood sugar.
• Maltodextrin – This can raise blood sugar.
• It alters the Intestinal Bacteria
• Worsen Blood Sugars – Increases risk of insulin resistance and A1C, a type of test to indicate blood sugar problems.
• Increase the thymus gland – It is involved in immunity.
Other Recommended NON-GMO Sweeteners:
• Erythritol
• Xylitol
• Stevia
• Monk Fruit
