Four paths through IDM — Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Minor, and the accelerated BS/MS.
Our Bachelor of Science program centers around the IDM core, a suite of courses that focus on the four areas of Image, Sound, Narrative, and Interactivity, as well as advanced electives and courses from the Tandon Engineering core and across NYU.
Our Masters program is a two-year program that engages students in a flexible course of study combining technical skilling, studio work, critical theory and qualitative research. The program culminates in a thesis that combines theory and practice to showcase students' creative and technical abilities.
The minor in Integrated Design and Media is intended for students interested in developing their knowledge and practical skills in and around design and media production technology.
Tandon undergraduates with a 3.5+ GPA can earn both degrees in five years. Graduate credits begin counting during the senior year, and a 50% tuition scholarship applies to the MS portion.
