Special Training

Each training session takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. After the training is completed, you will have access to these machines during the lab open hours.

Schedule

Class Visits

Due to the size of the room, it is not possible to hold entire lessons in the Proto Lab. You can schedule a tour or demo for your students during class time if you want to introduce them to the space and you can use the open space outside the lab to hold prototyping classes. If you have any questions, you can email idmprotolab@gmail.com.

Lending

Additional Supplies and materials can be borrowed from the Proto Lab staff such as Arduino kits and soldering stations. In order to borrow lab tools to use on the IDM floor, you must leave your NYU ID with a Proto Lab staff member. Proto lab tools and equipment can not be taken off the IDM floor.

You must request supplies and check them out with a Proto Lab staff member; no equipment can be removed from the lab without approval.

If you are planning to use soldering stations or Arduino kits in a lesson, please request them via this form at least 2 days in advance.
