It\u2019s run by a team of dedicated students and staff. Our goal is support IDM students and faculty by lowering the barrier of entry to physical prototyping and fostering collaboration among students.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Get Started<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The first step to accessing Proto Lab is attending one of our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"safety trainings (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/idm.engineering.nyu.edu\/protolab\/access\/\" target=\"_blank\">safety trainings<\/a>. Once you have completed the training, you are welcome to use any <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"machines  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/idm.engineering.nyu.edu\/protolab\/machines\/\" target=\"_blank\">machines <\/a>or resources in the space. The Proto Lab is open any time a <a href=\"http:\/\/idm.engineering.nyu.edu\/protolab\/access\/\">student technician is on duty<\/a>. Some of our machines require a <a href=\"http:\/\/idm.engineering.nyu.edu\/protolab\/machines\/\">reservation<\/a><em>.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Meet the Team<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STUDENT TECHNICIANS<\/strong><br><em>Coming soon<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Help &amp; Advice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The staff of the Proto Lab are not just there to oversee the equipment; we are also available to consult with you on your projects and assignments.
